Gameplay Guide — Epic Islands: Combat, Crafting, Skills & Building

⚔️ Turn-Based Combat System

Battles in Epic Islands use a strategic turn-based system. Each turn you choose from four actions:

Attack — Deal physical damage based on your equipped weapon and Combat skill level
Defend — Reduce incoming damage by 50% and gain a counterattack chance
Magic — Cast elemental spells. Different enemies are weak to different elements
Potions — Use crafted potions for healing, buffs, or enemy debuffs

Boss battles feature multiple phases where the boss changes tactics, gains new abilities, and the arena itself may transform. Study each boss's patterns and prepare the right equipment and potions before engaging.

🌟 Skill Tree — 15 Skills Across 3 Branches

Level up your adventurer by earning XP from combat, exploration, and crafting. Invest skill points across three specialized branches to build your playstyle.

⚔️ Combat Branch

Blade Mastery — Increased weapon damage
Shield Wall — Enhanced defensive stance
Critical Strike — Higher crit chance
Battle Fury — Multi-hit combo attacks
War Cry — Debuff enemies at battle start

🔮 Magic Branch

Elemental Attunement — Stronger spells
Mana Surge — Increased mana pool
Arcane Shield — Magic damage resistance
Chain Lightning — Hit multiple targets
Time Warp — Extra turn chance

🗺️ Exploration Branch

Eagle Eye — Reveal hidden paths
Treasure Sense — Find rare loot
Swift Feet — Avoid traps easier
Herbalist — Better potion crafting
Cartographer — Full island maps

🔨 Crafting System

Collect resources from each island and use your Forge to craft powerful equipment. Every piece of gear falls into one of five rarity tiers:

Common (Gray) — Basic starter equipment
Uncommon (Green) — Improved stats with one bonus effect
Rare (Blue) — Strong gear with two bonus effects
Epic (Purple) — Powerful equipment with unique abilities
Legendary (Gold) — The strongest gear, island-boss drops only

Craft weapons, armor, rings, amulets, potions, and dungeon keys. Higher Exploration skills and upgraded buildings improve crafting outcomes and unlock rare recipes.

Your Home Island is your base of operations. Construct and upgrade 8 unique buildings, each providing permanent gameplay bonuses:

Core Buildings

Forge — Craft weapons and armor
Library — Research new recipes
Tavern — Recruit NPC helpers
Warehouse — Expand inventory space

Advanced Buildings

Observatory — Reveal island secrets
Enchanting Tower — Add magic to gear
Trading Post — Buy and sell resources
Trophy Hall — Display boss trophies
